On March 24, 2022 (Thursday), a seminar on "IEEE Membership Benefits'' was organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Varendra University. Prof. Dr Md. Kamruzzaman, Honorable Coordinator of the Career Center of Varendra University was invited as the Chief Guest in this seminar. The seminar was presided by the Honorable Coordinator of this department, Prof. Dr Muhammad Abdul Goffar Khan. Other faculty members were also invited to this seminar. Interested students and all members of the organizing committee were present. Sheikh Shafaet Islam, Lecturer in this department was the Keynote Speaker of the seminar.
The seminar started at 4 PM with a welcome speech. Sheikh Shafaet Islam, the keynote speaker of the seminar then started his speech. First, he said what IEEE is, what it does and who can be a member. He guided and motivated the students to join IEEE and how they will enjoy the benefits after becoming an IEEE member. He inspired everyone to become a member of IEEE.
At the end of the speech, the Question-and-Answer session started. Tamim Hossain, Lecturer of the department gave the closing speech. At last, a photo session was done in front of the department building.
