As a part of co-curricular activities, EEE Department of Varendra University organized an Intra Department Cricket Tournament, started on 28th January 2019 and ended up successfully on 4th February 2019. Purposes of this tournament were to break the monotony, creating leadership quality among students and to make a fruitful relationship between faculties and students. In this regard, the Department of EEE tried to create a hardworking mentality among students and helping them to understand the importance of teamwork.
In this Tournament, 10 teams took spontaneous participation and each team was assigned by one faculty member of EEE as team manager. Every team in this tournament had to face the knock-out stage. After the knock-out stage, five conquered teams took part in the round league stage. In this stage, 3 teams were eliminated from the tournament and the remaining two teams were promoted to the final. A competitive final match was held between 10th batch, 11 semester and 11th batch, 10 semester on February 4, 2019. The 11th batch, 10th semester conquered the title of this tournament defeating 10th batch. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Varendra University, Prof. Dr. M. Osman Gani Talukder, Head of the Department of EEE along with all the faculty members and students of EEE Department were present in the award giving ceremony.
