We are glad to let you know everyone that Pharma Bee Club, Dept. of Pharmacy, Varendra University arranged “Study Tour- 2019” with total 18 number of executive members to Sylhet started from 1st to 5th August. During this time, they visited numbers of beautiful place such as Jafflong, Ratargul swamp forest, Bichanakandi and Volaganj. The beauty of Sylhet captivates the tourist too much. The clear blue water on white stone and the combination of mountain in Volaganj, Ratargul swamp forest were appealing. They also explore many types of citrus fruits such as C. hystrix (satkora), C. assamensis (Adalebu), C. Limittoids (Mithalebu), C. medica (Jaralebu), C. reticulate (khasikomla), C. aurantium (Karuljamir) which have potential anti-bacterial activity and bring some of them into the department for research purpose. The tour was leaded by two faculty members named A.S.M. Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor, Pharma Bee Club and Jaytirmoy Barman, Treasurer, Pharma Bee Club. All the members ofPharma Bee Club, Dept. of Pharmacy highly indebted to Dr. Ekramul Islam, Coordinator, Department of Pharmacy, Prof. Rashidul Haque, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Varendra University, and Professor Dr. M. Osman Gani Talukder, Vice Chancellor, Varendra University for their cordial cooperation and all kinds of support.
