An industrial visit to the leading Pharmaceutical Industry of Bangladesh, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Pabna was organized by the Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University (VU) on Tuesday, 24th May, 2022. Total 57 students of 7th semester (13th batch) and two faculties (Md. Maniruzzaman, Assistant Professor and Dr. Mst Hajera Khatun, Assistant Professor of Department of Pharmacy) had successfully visited this pharmaceutical company. 

Students visited the manufacturing area of liquid and semisolid section, quality control, dispensing, packaging and warehouse of that industry. They also learned about pharmaceutical practices, environment, manufacturing and discipline. The tour was extended by visiting the SQUARE Lifesciences Ltd. (SLL) which is wholly owned pharmaceutical manufacturing company by SQUARE Pharmaceuticals Ltd. 5 groups of 12 persons per group with one instructor were also visited there each modern equipped tablet and capsule manufacturing area, packaging, dispensing and warehouse area. The various large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and their applications were also keenly observed by the students. This enabled the students correlate their theory with practical application in pharmaceutical manufacturing field.
