Abstract
Conventional material transportation systems, typified by conveyor belts and rails, suffer from inherent drawbacks like heat generation, wear, friction, and susceptibility to physical damage. As a response to these limitations, non-contact material transportation systems are gaining prominence. This research introduces an ingenious magnetic suspension system that leverages electromagnets as a pivotal component to elevate objects. The system achieves a remarkable feat by seamlessly levitating an average 150-gram object, all powered by a 12V, 2A DC power source. Through meticulous simulations conducted within FEMM software, the electromagnets showcase their prowess, generating an electric field of 0.99 T at 2A, resulting in an impressive force of 2.81 N. Practical tests unequivocally validate the system's effectiveness, as it effortlessly levitates objects weighing up to 160 grams.
