The Department of English, Varendra University successfully organized a seminar titled “From Campus to Career: A Bootcamp on Turning Your Degree into Real-World Opportunities” on 10 May 2026 at the university auditorium.
The seminar aimed to equip students with practical insights and essential skills required to transition effectively from academic life to professional careers.
The keynote speaker of the seminar was Mizanur Rahman, Partner & Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Dhaka Logistics Services & Solution. He is a renowned HR & IR Consultant and Corporate Trainer also. In his session, he shared valuable industry perspectives, career strategies, and real-world experiences, emphasizing the importance of adaptability, skill development, and professional networking in today’s competitive job market.
The program began with an inaugural speech delivered by Professor Md. Shahidur Rahman, Head, Department of English, Varendra University followed by a speaker’s biography session presented by Nikhate Jannat Binte Zinnah, Assistant Professor, Department of English. The keynote speaker, Mizanur Rahman, then conducted an interactive session that included a mock interview segment also. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Md. Abu Yusuf, Associate Professor, Department of English.
The event was warmly received by participants, who found the seminar highly informative and inspiring. It provided a valuable platform for students to gain practical knowledge, clarify career goals, and build confidence for future professional challenges.
