The Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University successfully organized a seminar titled “From Research & Development to Quality Control: Insights from the Pharmaceutical Industry” on 9 August 2026, aiming to bridge academic learning with practical insights from the pharmaceutical industry.
The seminar featured two distinguished professionals from Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC as keynote speakers:

Senior Manager, R&D
The speakers shared valuable insights into Research & Development (R&D), Quality by Design (QbD), Quality Control (QC), large-scale manufacturing, generic product development and launching for local and export markets, as well as the challenges and emerging opportunities in Bangladesh’s pharmaceutical sector.
An engaging Q&A session provided students with the opportunity to interact directly with the industry experts, clarify their queries, and gain practical perspectives on professional practices and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry.
