In a significant academic initiative, the 6th semester students of the 20th batch from the Department of Pharmacy, Varendra University, participated in an educational tour to the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Rajshahi.
The primary objective of this visit was to gain firsthand knowledge about the country’s scientific and research sectors, understand research methodologies, explore laboratory equipment, and observe their practical applications in industrial settings.
During the tour, students explored various modern laboratories and ongoing research projects at BCSIR. They also had the opportunity to receive valuable insights and guidance from researchers and officials of the institution on different aspects of scientific research, technology, and processes. This enriching experience added a new dimension to their pharmaceutical education.
The students were accompanied by their esteemed faculty members Dr. Shimin Shabnam Lopa and Mr. Abu Naser Nayeem. Their thoughtful guidance, constant support, and close supervision made the tour both successful and fruitful.
This educational tour has inspired a research-oriented mindset among the students and significantly strengthened their confidence and enthusiasm for their future careers in the pharmaceutical field. They firmly believe that such initiatives play a vital role in bridging academic knowledge with real-world experiences.
